About Basang

Hi! Thank you for visiting my journal of outside world. You may have reached this page unintentionally but please do leave comments if you may ;)
Anyway, about me?
Yes, I am Basang, my father and mother fondly call me that.
I came from a family of the great and the meek Ilocanos.
I am a poor man's basang (an Ilocano term for "little lady"), who was born on the high lands and was raised on valleys and hills. I learned how to appreciate the simplest form of living, struggle to survive from day to day and to face off all the consequences of poverty from education to being clever and streetwise.
I am still a student presently studying FOOD SCIENCE (yes, u heard it right!), I am so serious on my studies but then, I also realized that I have a lively health and excited soul to wander and be lost in places I never gone to before. Travelling? I often read and heard of other people dreaming to travel the Philippines and the whole world, who does not want that dream, I wonder?
For a year now, I manage not to really travel on its purest form but to just wander off places not familiar to me before. I just love to be on new places, talk to the kind locals and learn new things from them, see the not so ordinarily way of life and living, no matter how much risk and heart jumping situations it may cause me due to my first time adventures but I love to experience all these by wandering off.

But then, I should also remind myself that I was not merely here on earth to enjoy and behold God's wonderful creations but also to play other roles and be back to the place where He had planted me, back to my home. Be with the most precious people whom God had let me grow with..
I will always be the basang (little lady) of papa and mama, the loving but strict ate for my adings (little siblings), the vessel of blessings for the family, a thoughtful friend, a faithful follower, and a serious yet funny student. And so I needed to be very careful in my adventures.
Besides I know within my heart that my happiness is to be home with them..
But this blog will tell you how and why this basang is wandering off...living a vagabond life once for a while..
Happy reading!
